FAQ

1.What is SSD?

SSD stands for Solid State Drive, a hard disk made from a solid-state electronic storage chip array, consisting of a control unit and a storage unit (FLASH chip, DRAM chip). Solid state drives are identical to traditional hard drives in terms of interface specifications, definitions, functions, and usage methods. They also have the same product appearance and size as traditional hard drives, but their I/O performance is greatly improved compared to traditional hard drives. Widely used in military, vehicle, industrial control, video surveillance, network monitoring, network terminals, power, medical, aviation, navigation equipment and other fields.

2.Why choose SSD?

With the development of technology, the delivery of data has become increasingly frequent, whether it is for work or entertainment. SSD will make your device run faster and have larger storage capacity. The most obvious characteristics and advantages of SSD are fast read and write speed, low power consumption, no noise, vibration resistance, low heat, small size, and a wide operating temperature range.

3.How do I know the exact capacityof SSD?

The capacity is shown in "Megabyte" (same with Hard Disk Drive, 1MB = 1000KB). In Windows environment or DOS mode, 1MB equals to 1024 KB.  Therefore 1GB is approximate 953MB.
It is normal case, real displayed capacity ≈ indicated capacity x 0.93.
e.g: our indicated capacity is 512GB, the real displayed capacity ≈ 512GB x 0.93 = 476GB.

4.How to format SSD and make 4K Alignment?

lt is recommended to use Windows7 or above operating systems which are with built in disk management formatting function, it can achieve 4K Alignment (recommended NTDS disk partition format), and can also use “DiskGenius Partition Tool" to partition. After get into PE, you will find the partition tool, open - fast partition- select SSD - customize several partitions, finally select 4096 to click OK. Make sure your computer is running under “AHCI" mode, otherwise SSD's read/write performance and response time will be affected. Use “AS SSD Benchmark" to check if SSD has complied with “4K Alignment" and already been under AHCl mode.

5.Why is the speed test resultof SSD different from the description?

Our test data is just for reference, our test results are related to many factors, such as the status of hard disk, slot interface type, computer hardware grade, computer system, test platforms, and test software. So the speed test result will be different, hope you can understand. About the speed test, it is a recommended as following:
Firstly, please test it under empty and whole disk status; secondly, please install the SSD in SATA3.0 interface slot directly, don't use other adapter to connect it; thirdly, please use the CrystalDisk Mlark5.2.0 to test it.

6.How can I quickly select a matching SSD and RAM?

If you are a professional, you can quickly find matching products through the navigation on our official website. If you have obtained relevant information from the device supplier, you can search for it yourself or contact us.
In short, no matter what questions you have, you can directly contact us.
